Polariton, a technology leader in optical connectivity for next-generation communication infrastructure, is invited to participate to the political and industry exchange on photonics at the House of Switzerland during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos reinforcing the importance of photonics-based innovation addressing global challenges. 

The WEF is an international organization that brings together political, business, and other leaders to shape global, regional, and industry agendas, focusing on public-private cooperation to solve world problems. Famous for its annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, taking place from January 19 to 23, 2026, the WEF serves as a think tank, facilitating dialogue and action on critical issues like economic growth, technology, climate change, and social well-being. 

Playing a pivotal role in infrastructure, photonics is increasingly becoming important in lighting, health monitoring, diagnostics and fully integrated applications. This allows for expanded features while simultaneously cutting power consumption. 

Photonics is widely used in communication networks around the globe, and more recently the industry is going through an unprecedented growth determined by the demand for AI-based applications. As such, a key role is played in one of the most advanced technologies in the world, impacting society as deeply as setting new standards for productivity.  

The event at the House of Switzerland is dedicated entirely to photonics. From innovative chips that accelerate communication and data processing to high-performance lasers for sectors such as ICT, medicine, and research. These technologies are driving key innovations and sustainably transforming the economy.
