As part of our efforts to advance optical communication, we are working to bring 400G per lane to 1.6T and 3.2T transceivers.<\/p>\n<p>In parallel, we have achieved a major milestone in electro-optic (EO) modulation. Together with ETH Zurich and the group of Prof. Juerg Leuthold, we fabricated devices which have been demonstrated capable of EO bandwidths around 1 THz. Polariton&#8217;s plasmonic modulator technology provides an electro-optical bandwidth beyond 145 GHz, enabling 224 GBd and beyond, which is crucial for target line rates of 448 Gbit\/s. While plasmonic modulators have no inherent speed limitations, achieving open eyes at these extreme rates depends on the next generation of high-speed signal generators.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"207\" data-end=\"240\">Prepared for OFC 2025 &#8211;
